Everything starts with an invite I guess, I received a message from Miss Dorie Ballola to apply for the mentor me program, and I went to the Negosyo Center to fill out some forms and was asked to attend the launch the next day.

I’m truly excited for having been included in the Department of Trade & Industry’s Kapatid Mentor Me Program – Baguio-Benguet Leg Batch 2018. Today’s the start of my 10 week journey towards my dream of becoming an entrepreneurial unicorn! It’s only day one and I’ve already learned so much from experts in the industry.

Module 1: Entrepreneurial Mind Setting and Values Formation

Module 2: Marketing

We’ve also met Mentor Me graduates who inspired us with their shares and stories!

Highlights of the day were these supportive and passionate people.

This pretty much sums up what happened today

For the first time, since the Mentor Me program started, they have opened it to non-food businesses. Finally, the challenge of explaining our business models became easier… it’s about time that our niche be recognized, some may see it cutting edge – for some almost impossible, but with awareness and openness – especially from the government, it would not require too much effort now, for start-up “millennials” and visionaries.
